Castles of Ireland Tour

Interested in Castles?  You’ll learn all about these iconic structures and the history behind them.

Castle Tour (Includes everything except lunch and dinner and airfare).  Subject to availability.

Day 1: (Saturday) Pick up at Dublin airport on Saturday and go to Galway.

Stay at the Jury’s Inn (or comparable based on availability) for two nights.

Day 2: (Sunday)  Tour the west coast of Ireland and stay at Jurys Inn for a second night. Visit Kylemore Abbey, an ancient Benedictine monastery.  You may stay at Ashford Castle this night or at Dromolamd Castle later in the week.

Day 3: (Monday)  Go to Aran Islands (Inis Mor) for one night. Stay at the Aran Islands Hotel, only hotel on the Island (there are only 800 residents)

Day 4: (Tuesday) Drive to County Clare and stay at the Inn at Dromoland or at Dromoland Castle. The Inn is a very nice 4 star hotel and you can use the facilities of the Castle.  You may elect to stay at the Castle or at Ashford Castle on day 2.

Day 5: (Wednesday) On to Killarney for three nights at the 5 star Brehon hotel. This stay includes a round of golf at Killarney Golf & Fishing Club and another round at a select course in the area. For those not interested in golf, fishing or horseback riding may be substituted.

Day 6: (Thursday) The Brehon Hotel.  Take a tour of the Dingle Peninsula or the ring of Kerry.

Day 7: (Friday)  Play golf, go fishing or Horseback riding.  Or just relax and go spend time in downtown Killarney, one of Ireland’s most beautiful towns located by the Lakes of Killarney and the Killarney National Park.

Day 8: (Saturday) Drive to Dublin and stay at the Clayton Hotel, stopping along the way to visit the Rock of Cashel and other tourist sites.

Day 9: (Sunday) Fly back to the United States
